Three months have already passed by, so it’s time for a new (jam-packed) favourites post! With this time a lot of food, new shoes, flowers and travel inspiration!
Favourite hotspot: Louie Louie
A few weeks ago the weather was so good, that my roomie and I thought it was a waste of time to just sit inside after we were done working. We went to Amsterdam East to eat at Louie Louie, located on the Linnaeusstraat. Because of the great weather, the terrace was full of people, and the atmosphere was so good! The menu consists of small dishes you can share, or keep it to yourself if you’re hungry! From sweet potatoe fries to taco’s to a delicious salad: there’s is much to choose from.
Favourite flowers: peonies
Oh, how I love flowers! Especially in the summer, when my room is all tidied up and I have my balcony door open. But my favourites will always be peonies, and I don’t know exactly why. They’re just easy to decorate, because everything looks good with it. Just like this setting I arranged in my room right now. Maybe pink will just always be my favourite colour.
Favourite drink: Fresh coconuts
On Bali I have had a couple of fresh coconuts and although I already knew I liked them, I figured that it even might be my favourite summer drink. It’s refreshing, thirst-quenching and healthy. Plus, a coconut is a very good solution if you need to keep on drinking because of the heat and you’re easily fed up with just drinking water all day.
Favourite shoes: Superga flatform sneakers
You might have already seen them a couple of times on Instagram or on my blog, but that is just because I wear them a lot. I love white sneakers and because of the platform, it gives me a little bit of extra length too. I like to wear them with dresses, because it makes it all more casual, but jeans are a perfect fit too! The only disadvantage: they’re not actually white anymore.
Favourite snack: Ijsmanschap popsicles
I hope you’re not hungry while reading this post, because I have quite some food favourites this time. We all love icecream, but to me, it is very satisfying to eat something that tastes AND looks good at the same time. Ijsmanschap is heaven for foodies, with many different combinations to choose from (think: strawberry-yoghurt-chia with a roasted almonds topping or champagne-raspberry with milk chocolate). Wanna go? Van Spilbergenstraat 2 hs, Amsterdam.
Favourite thing to do: looking for travel inspiration
Now that my big holiday of this year is over, everyone already asks me where I’ll go on my next trip. If you have read my article about my bucket list, you might have an idea what destinations have already crossed my mind, but because my next holiday will still take a while, I like to read about travel stories to get inspired. Backpack stories, luxurious holidays, roadtrips: I’m open to everything. And maybe, I will go to a whole other destination. Who knows!
