Because of busy work days and a very lazy Christmas holiday, blogging was not one of my priorities, but since my New Year’s resolutions existed of 1. eating healthier and 2. writing more on my blog, I figured it might be a good idea to get started with (at least) my second New Year’s resolution.
So, here we are, and I have some favourites to share with you again. This time, it’s not fashion-, interior- or food related, but it’s all about beauty. I’m not a beauty blogger, and I don’t want to be, because I can’t say that I know a lot about make-up and beauty. But every girl has her own favourites, and today I will mention mine.
The Body Shop Body Butter
I use these body butters as long as I can remember, and I have already tried different scents, but the almond version is still my favourite one. It’s a thick cream that nourishes your skin, but it doesn’t leave a thick layer of cream, like you have with some other creams. And that smell!
Lush The Comforter Bubble bar
It’s not a secret that I love Lush products, but this bubble bar is definitely my favourite. I like sweet scents, so the cassis smell is perfect and still not too sweet.
Chloé by Chloé
My alltime favourite perfume, which I buy over and over again. It smells luxurious, and still has a little sweetness in its scent.
This must be one of the cheapest concealers ever, and because of all the positive reviews of beauty bloggers, I decided to buy one at Superdrug when I lived in London. After I used it a couple of times, I got myself a few more to have a little extra when I went back to Holland. I have the lightest version, I believe it’s called ‘Fair’.
Aussie 3 minute miracle
I love Aussie products. It smells good, it works very well and it’s not too expensive. I got myself this Aussie hairmask about a year ago, and I still use the exact same bottle. You don’t need to wait for a long time, as it already works in 3 minutes, and it makes your hair soft and silky.
MAC Viva Glam
First, I need to say that I didn’t use this lipstick much yet, because it’s not an everyday colour. Especially when you don’t wear a lot of make-up like me, it can be a little bit too outstanding. Although I like to wear this lipstick to a party or for special holidays, because it makes a look very chic without having to do a lot with your make-up. Plus, it stays on your lips for a very long time, even when you’re eating and drinking.
Andrélon dry shampoo
Actually I think dry shampoo overall is a good invention, just because it’s a great way to solve your I-need-to-wash-my-hair-but-I-don’t-have-time problem. I always buy the one of Andrélon, since it’s available in almost every drug store and it’s one of the cheapest ones. Another favourite are the ones from Batiste.
This highlighter is probably the most expensive product in my make-up collection. I bought it when I was in Paris, and I still use it very often. It does exactly what a highlighter should do: it makes your skin glowy, without making it too shiny.
Rituals Yogi Flow
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like the shower foams of Rituals, because there is a scent suitable for everyone. The foam gives a luxurious feeling, and this one smells a little sweet.
St. Ives apricot scrub
What I love about this facial scrub, is that it has a lot of little ‘scrubs’, so you don’t have the feeling that you’re just cleaning your face with a face wash, but actually scrub the dead skin cells away. Plus, the scent of apricots is great!
