Nowadays, I believe you’re not really someone when you haven’t written a book: the last few years every blogger, vlogger, or any other kind of social influencer has released one. I like reading novels, but it’s a completely different thing than those inspiring books of people that have achieved something in their life or people that have just a magical way of thinking and exactly know how to tell it.
That’s why today’s article is about 3 inspiring books I read recently. Hope you get a positive vibe from it too!
Anna Nooshin – On Life
I love Anna Nooshin and her whole lifestyle, attitude, looks and travel destinations and after I read her first book On Top, I knew I would buy a second book of her too. Luckily, I got the second book as a present for my birthday and I read it immediately the day after. Anna is a blogger, YouTuber, style icon and many more. In this book, she’s inspiring because of her honesty, her will to show you the imperfections of her life and the people that are close to her. While reading the book, you really get to know her. The fun thing about the book is that you get a real positive vibe from it: new inspiration, ideas and thoughts have crossed my mind several times while I read the book.
Sarah Knight – The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck
Not a ‘how-I-got-to-the-top’ story, but still inspiring. Because what can you do to let things go that you actually don’t ‘give a f*ck’ about? And how do you put energy in things you do care about? The book – or actually Sarah Knight – explains it all. It helps you not feeling guilty and ashamed when you choose not to do things that you actually don’t care about. But it also tells how you don’t get an asshole by shifting ‘things that actually hurt people’s feelings’ and ‘things that don’t hurt people’s feelings but probably makes them thinking about me some way’. But hey, you don’t control the things they think about you, so why would you care? It really cleared my head and made me think of things I still do because I believe it’s something ‘I just need to do’. A real lifechanger!
Sophia Amoruso – #Girlboss
Sophia Amoruso is, just like Anna Nooshin, also a woman that has achieved a lot. When she was 22 years old, she started selling vintage clothes on Ebay, and called her shop Nasty Gal. Little did she know that it was growing so hard, that the business nowadays is worth $100 million and has 350 employees. In this book, she tells her story: where it all started, but also the struggles she had on school and the way she made decisions based on her experiences. She also gives a lot of tips and tricks on starting and having a business and on working for a boss, so that you can be your own #Girlboss.
