Over a year ago, I wrote an article about my travel bucketlist. In the meantime, I can line through one of these destinations (Sri Lanka) and one of them is a long-term planned trip (South-Africa). But, as you might know yourself, the more you travel, the more countries you will add at the bottom of your list. I think I can take a few years off to visit all the places I want to go to, but the trips in this post have been most on my mind the last year.
Central America – Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua
I guess this is number one on my addition to my travel bucketlist. I’ve read blogposts about the jungles of Costa Rica, I’ve seen photos of Little Corn Island (Nicaragua) and I’ve been picturing myself walking in Panama City. I think these countries will be way different than my other trips, and therefore, I’d really like to go here.
Vietnam was not on my list for a very long time, but lately I’ve been thinking to go here, because of the beautiful beaches, the great food and friendly people. It’s also quite a budget trip (compared to Central America), so my wallet will probably approve it as well.
This archipel consists of 7107 (!) islands, and as I’m a real island lover, I think this would be a great destination for me. The island Palawan was called ‘the most beautiful island’ for a couple of years and when I see the pictures, I can definitely imagine it. But, if you think that the Phillipines only have great beaches, you’re wrong: even though it consists of 1800 m2 water, the landscape of the islands are also breathtaking (the Chocolate hills, for example).
Who said you need to travel a long way to see great things? Places that are still on my Europe travel bucket list are Porto (Portugal), Copenhagen (Denmark), Santorini (Greece), Cinque Terre (Italy) and a roadtrip through Norway. But, just as my other bucket list destinations, I will probably add some more the upcoming years.
Yes, Australia! If it weren’t on the other side of the world and life wouldn’t be that expensive in this country, I would have probably already gone here. Although I wouldn’t have the time to explore the whole country, I’d really like to enjoy the cities, visit the beaches and view the greatest landscapes.
Q: What’s number one on your travel bucketlist?
